I LOVE sensory tables. I think they are so great for kids of a fairly wide range of ages. Putting a “theme” to a table is a new idea to me. I wish I had done this when the boys were little (where was Pinterest then?) Thought I’d inspire some of you moms of the younger ones!

Heck my boys and I might have to make one of these!

  1. Greetings from Costa Rica.

It was pouring yesterday all day, strange for December here in the tropic, but anyway, I tried one of these boxes with my 3 year-old. He was fascinated, played for hours, he even got up today asking for the box.

Thank you for your wonderful ideas and posts.

Oh I'm SO glad he loved it! It's so good for his development too (so that's a bonus). It's been really wet here too and we live in a desert!

  3. How do you get the kids to keep everything in the box?? I love this idea, but the "I sooo hate to clean up little pieces of rice" part of me doesn't even want to try this for fear of the mess my 2 1/2 year old will make.
