Welcome to Summer Camp Matherial Themed Weeks! This week is plastic cup week where we’ll share an activity using plastic cups each day. If you have an activitiy please share it here or on our Facebook page! We’ll try and do a round up at the end of each week.
For this game you’ll need a plastic cup, string and a ball of some sort. For this one we used a plastic egg leftover from Easter.
Have an adult poke a hole in the bottom of the cup and feed the string through.
Tie the string off and then tie it onto your ball. For the egg we just inserted it in one of the holes. If you’re using a plastic ball you can make a hole or use some hot glue to keep the string tied around the outside.
Holding the cup in one hand try to swing the ball up and catch it. You can pull the string through the cup and tie off shorter or longer to make it easier/harder to catch.
You can use this game for any themed party you’re doing as well by decorating the cup first.

Simple toys like these are the best! We made one with Dixie cups taped to toilet paper tube handles, with egg carton "balls" a few years ago…I found one in the kids' toy box months later, and was going to throw it away…until I started playing with it, and realized even though it wasn't pretty – it was a lot of fun:)
