Construction Vehicles Craft Kit Giveaway

We had the opportunity to try out the new Boy Craft Construction Vehicles craft kit from craftprojectideas.com. This kit gives you all you need to create (and play with) 3 wooden construction vehicles.

My new 8 year old thought he'd like to give it a shot.

Here he's building the dump truck.

As soon as he was done with that one and waiting for the wood glue to dry - he wanted to start on the next! He decided he didn't want to paint so he pulled out his markers to do some decorating. He was very interested in the included decals as well.

A craft kit that kept him entertained during AND after it was finished? Check! Now CraftProjectIdeas would like to give one away to one of you! Easy entry here (as usual) if you want more info on the products or for more inspiration from Craftprojectideas you can visit their site, Facebook, Twitter, or Youtube!

Enter to win now!

It's LEGO's 80th birthday today! Happy Birthday!

They are celebrating with a FREE Exclusive LEGO Birthday Cake with $50 purchase. Ends today!

I still love the birthday cake my mother in law made for my son!

And there's no need to link up to all the LEGO posts we've done here - we all love them! Happy Birthday LEGO!

I did want to share this new post by Classic Play though - a medal podium stand. So cute!

I need to do another LEGO organization post. We all learn from those!

Fort Friday!

Happy Fort Friday! Here at All for the Boys we celebrate Fridays with some awesome fort inspiration from around the web. Whether made of sheets, cardboard, wood, or sticks, forts are a place we can go to transport our minds to wherever we want to go. You can play, dream, relax, or create in a fort. Everything is better in a fort!

If you want to share your fort (or an awesome one you found) just send it to me!

Ashley from Under the Sycamore found a way to beat the heat with a huge fort. More gorgeous pics on her blog.

Check out this cardboard swiss cheese fort from the Cardboard Collective! Go check out the "how to" on their site.

Heather from the House of Woyaks visited the largest treehouse in the world!

Dying over this playhouse with a bridge, pond, and pergola - yeah. From Mox Design designed by Steve Appolloni

And how cool is this reader submitted spaceship fort - the gear sticks are a must!

Collapsible Cardboard Playhouse

My friend Jenn from Ambrosia Creative has done it again. In her post over on She Knows she gives a tutorial to create the perfect collapsible cardboard playhouse. Pretty it up and give one as a gift or make one any time for your kids. LOVE this!

Simple Summer Fun - Car Cooking

So simple, but fun for kids - cooking in your car! Since the inside of your car literally gets as hot as an oven, why not use it as one!

Cardboard Collective made banana chips in a car (I may do this one this week!)

Family Chic made S'mores in their car

Baking Bites made chocolate chip cookies in her car

Is it hot enough where you are to cook in your car?

First Day Printables

Many kids are starting here in AZ today (some already started) and mine start on Wednesday. I can't believe summer flew by us so fast! We still have adventures to blog about! Anyway I thought I'd make up some printables for you as I made them for myself for those first day photos. I've seen a few that were a little more involved or cutesy but I thought if there is any way my boys are going to let me do this in the future they need to be a little more "masculine" and plain.

Let me know if I'm missing something. I know the phrases are a little different everywhere. If someone from another country would like some just send me an email and give me a list of grade levels!

Download here:

PRESCHOOL / KINDERGARTEN / 1ST / 2ND / 3RD / 4TH / 5TH / JUNIOR HIGH / 6TH / 7TH / 8TH / 9TH / HIGH SCHOOL

Files for personal use only please.

I have back to school Lunch Jokes too! My boys always love these. Not sure if I'll work on more or not but here are the ones I did last year
