Wreck It Ralph Party!

We love Wreck It Ralph so natrually I loved this idea for a Wreck It Ralph viewing party from Not Just a Mommy. I think this is a fun way to have a "birthday party" without the stipulation of presents. Kids can watch the movie and participate in fun related activities without having to call it a birthday party. Or just an excuse for a party because I'm always looking for those!

The BEST part is the candy car making!

Check out all the fun details, specifics, and other awesome parties at Not Just a Mommy.

April Fools!

With April Fools coming up I thought I'd share some more fun and innocent pranks

Our Ketchup + Mustard bottle prank

I'd do this for my oldest but probably not my youngest. His reaction would cause a ruckus in the lunch room lol! from Morena's Corner

Love the colored water prank from Martha Stewart

Solid juice is pretty funny - from The 303 Griffiths

How about making your kids some Brown E's - from Dump A Day

And of course the water bottle prank we shared yesterday

What are you favorite pranks?!

Water Bottle Prank

I got pranked this weekend and the boys thought it was the best thing ever. It's an easy one too - perfect for April Fool's Day.

You just need a water bottle and a pin. Fill the bottle pretty full with water. Over the sink poke holes all around the center of the bottle.

Wait until the water stops dripping, very gently wipe off and place on the counter somewhere you know it will get seen and picked up.

When someone finally picks it up (I did in frustration of the boys leaving things out everywhere)...

Yep, you get sprayed. It was pretty funny. This works best with the thinner plastic water bottles. Have fun!

(Obviously young kids should be supervised when using needles)

Fort Friday

Happy Fort Friday! Here at All for the Boys we celebrate Fridays with some awesome fort inspiration from around the web. Whether made of sheets, cardboard, wood, or sticks, forts are a place we can go to transport our minds to wherever we want to go. You can play, dream, relax, or create in a fort. Everything is better in a fort!

You can share your forts by emailing me, Facebook, or Instagram and tag @allfortheboys and #fortfriday (by contacting me you are giving me permition to share your photo on the blog. Let me know if you want it linked up anywhere) - some are tagging me properly and I'm not able to pull it up again later :( So if you don't see yours here, email it to me!

Love these thickets by Cheeriup shared on the Martha Stewart Living blog

Love the fort behind the scenes sneaks from The Land of Nod's Instagram @thelandofnod

We shared a mega fort in the works on our Instagram @allfortheboys yesterday (and a sneak at a giveaway for fort week!)

Rooms

I feel like there is always something new and inspirational that I find in each new room makeover that's posted online. I love that we have such easy access to quick inspiration (instead of waiting for new magazines to come out).

Love everything in this room from La La Lovely

Love this DIY recycling center for kids - a great space for them to use their imagination from Handmade Charlotte

I think we can all agree we need one of these somewhere in the house  - from Mmm Crafts

Lots of DIY ideas in this tween boy room at Shift Ctrl Art

Love all the energy burning ideas in this playroom at Fun at Home with Kids

Hex Nut + Balloon

We have a quick easy activity for you today that's fun anytime especially because it makes noise. All you'll need is a hex nut (a smaller one) and a balloon.

Put the nut into the balloon and blow it up.

Tie off the balloon. Hold in one spot while spinning the hex nut inside around the balloon. You'll get a screechy noise!

We made a quick video so you can hear what it sounds like since photos can't show you that.

If you shake the balloon too crazy and against things it will pop and the hex nut will go flying - so play with caution (this is said from experience).

TRAVEL TUESDAY

I love finding new travel ideas because not only are they good for full on road trips but great for everyday travel or long waits as well!

There is so much you can do with your own felt board - make up stories, add on to each other's scenes, even make your own Angry Birds! from Ian and Wendy

A fun idea for a road trip - a Vacation Trip Tracker from Once a Month Mom

This Yarnd and Sandpaper tray from I Can Teach My Child is a great idea!

I used to keep a stack of different sticker scenes on hand when the boys were younger. They loved doing these! from Etsy
