I'm happy to be back with Part 2 of our "Surviving Sick Days" series with Children's Mucinex! In our first post we talked about staying healthy (we all try SO hard) but when the cold or flu does hit I definitely go into full blown Mom mode. I love being a mom and I love being able to take care of my kiddos.
A great way to put a smile on your kids' faces is with a Sick Days bucket. Fill a bucket/basket with activities, crafts, games, etc. so that in addition to the tv, your kids have a lot of options at hand.

One thing I made for them that they couldn't put down is our "My Crazy Family" album. It's a dry erase album with photos of family members that you can decorate however you want, erase, and do it all over again.

I used a smaller 3 ring binder with 5.5"x8.5" page protectors but any size will work. You could even just clip the page protectors onto a clipboard. For the photos I lightened them up before printing so that the drawings would show up better.

To keep the markers with the album I glued elastic onto the inside of the binder that the markers could slip into.

You could add plain paper, words to practice writing, coloring pages with their favorite characters - whatever you think they'd like best and get the most use out of. I put 1 photo in each protector so the other side would be blank.
That's it! They can draw and erase as much as they want. This album puts a HUGE smile on my boys' faces.

So fun! We always have a nice cup with a straw in our sick bucket as well. And lately the Children's Mucinex Multi-Symptom cold has never been far from my reach. Luckily it does help clear their congestion and feel a bit better while they are fighting the bug.
Don't forget that Children's Mucinex Multi-Symptom Cold is offering you a $2.00 off coupon to use on your next purchase!
